As I entered this grand palace, I finally got a real glimpse at what I had been hearing night after night at my next-door neighbor's house. Booze and dancing. The two key ingredients for a good party, at least I could tell that Gatsby agreed, as that was all I could ever see at these parties. I found it strange though that everyone around me was questioning who this Gatsby person was. It astounded me that at the hundreds of people here, no one seemed to know who Gatsby was or anything about him.
After I found Jordan at the party we decided to look around for this Gatsby fellow. We dipped in between party-goers and stumbled into a library where we had found him, alas it wasn't. Now after holding a conversation with a man about the war, I mentioned how I was invited to the party by Gatsby, when he turned and said that he was Gatsby. Shock! As embarrassing as it sounds it opened up the night to a really good party, and I hope to go to more and learn even more about this Gatsby fellow.

Sounds like you've got a little crush on Jordan? haha just joking, but I can see it, just watch out she cheats at golf though. When you finally get to meet Gatsby you'll be blown away, someday remind me to tell you about him and I, the younger days when we were in love with each other. I like to look back at it every once in a while, i didn't even know Gatsby lived next to you!!

My friend Nick, meeting you that night at my party gave me hope. You will lead me to my dear Daisy, and for that I have much gratitude for you. Your friend Jordan and I talked together about a plan on my reunion with Daisy. Don't worry, she will fill you in later over tea in New York. I hope we can be friends outside of this Daisy thing.

ReplyDeleteI am very glad you're having a great time and getting out to see these parties and meet all these new people, you deserve it. You've always been kind to me and that's why I was so happy when I saw you again. Spend time with the people around you, they'll become your good friends. But be careful of a few of the girls you spend time with, they'll try take your money and brake your heart.
