What was I thinking about Myrtle's death

I could hardly swallow when I came to the realization that Gatsby had killed Myrtle. When the officer said it was a yellow car at the incident I just knew who it was. At that point I was fuming. I loved Gatsby and believed that he was a genuinely great person. Normally when you find a wealthy man it's someone that thinks they are untouchable. They think that they are completely above everyone else and are even above the law. Gatsby however had proved me different. This was a person that took his wealth and made other people's lives better and threw big huge parties for people he didn't even know. Although after this all those thoughts completely shattered in my mind. When I got home and confronted Gatsby he seemed shell-shocked. After explaining and getting his piece out I realized that it was Daisy who had been driving the car, and her not Gatsby hit Myrtle and killed her. I went quickly from thinking that Gatsby was so awful I could even kill him with my own bare hands to again restoring my faith in him and I couldn't believe he could take the blame for someone that had thrown him aside all this time and was actually terrible to him. I don't know of any person that could love someone more than Gatsby loves Daisy. Not even Tom would ever think about doing something like this for Daisy. Gatsby had outdone himself completely and there is nothing that Daisy could do to ever repay him of that debt.
